Each week at camp has a different Theme. We update some of our activities to match the theme throughout the week, ending with a bang with our Theme Day on Friday.
We like to end the week in style and give kids the opportunity to go wild and dress up (if they want to). This always creates a buzz on the last day of camp in week!
We’re parents too and want to make this as easy as possible for you. There's no need to spend hours or fortunes making or buying costumes in advance (unless you want to). Plus, they’ll get the chance to make props during camp dress up days.
If your kids want to get involved and you want an easy fix, we’ve come up with some fun ideas for this summer’s themes. Who knows, this may help with school dress up days too!
22nd July: Sing!
Kids get the chance to channel their musical heroes today at camp. Here are some simple ideas to inspire you:
Taylor Swift
A white T-shirt, black shorts, black hat and sunglasses! Easy peasy. See more here.
Ed Sheeran
Couldn’t be simpler – lumberjack shirt, jeans and optional face paint and temporary tattoos. See how here.
80’s popstar
Go retro with this Cindy Lauper inspired creation. Ra-Ra skirt, backcombing and lace gloves. Keep it comfy with trainers! See how here.
Rapper
Great for an active day at camp – sports wear, funky hat and some bling! See how here.
29th July: Step back in time
The scope’s wide for this one – anything that’s in the past will do! Just see the 80’s popstars option above!
Egyptian
Use a white pillow case for a dress decorate a paper plate as a necklace to make an Egyptian outfit. See how here.
Again, those white sheets come in handy. Then just another strip of material and something to tie around the waste. Head gear optional! See how here.
5th August: Fantastic fiction
This one’ll help with the World Book Days at school! Re-use and recycle!
Matilda
A favourite book for kids, and super easy for homemade costumes. Main item is a red ribbon for the hair! See how here.
Diary of a Wimpy Kid
Is your child a fan of ‘Diary of a Wimpy Kid’? This couldn’t be easier. White top with black tape and a hold up ‘head’. See how here.

Super fun and simple. Just pop on the black and stick some costume jewellery on – wicked! See how here.

Couldn’t be easier. How about coming to camp in Barracudas colours – red, blue, yellow or green. Love a celebration – bring your party hats!
Party style
How about wearing some party gear? Remember, it’s all about comfort and durability at camp though!
19th August: On your marks, get set, dress up and go!!!
Come as your ultimate sports hero or represent your favourite sport.
Every day is a sports day at camp, but today is a chance to celebrate your child’s own sport interest.

Just pop on some goggles, and maybe a medal for those with high ambitions! See how here.
Football star
Is your child football mad? No doubt they’ve got their own kit at home so give it an outing at camp!
Tennis pro
Buzzing from Wimbledon fever? Send them in their whites (or maybe not for an action packed day camp!). Any colour will do, just add an sweatband and visor!
26th August: Go green!
