We had an amazing time at our February half term camps this year.
With 7 camps open, that’s more than we’ve ever run in the February half term holidays and we were really pleased that they were so popular. All camps had a fantastic time creating lots of memories with all the children.
Here are our standout moments from this February:
Rocketeers launch session
On Thursday at Huntingdon camp we hosted a launch session of Rocketeers our new Skills Builder for 2023.
The children had an amazing time learning all things space and getting the chance to decorate and launch their own rockets.
We can't wait to begin more Rocketeers sessions at selected camps this Easter and summer.
Barracudas added to the fun with our first Friday Finale and weekly theme of the year.
Building the theme of Horrible Histories onto camp, by tweaking some of our popular activities to offering specific arts and crafts sessions, kids loved getting involved – and so did our staff!
A big thumbs up from Ofsted
This February half term Chislehurst were visited by the officials at Ofsted.
Continuing on from our previous Outstanding rating, we are pleased to still be hitting the top spot and was rated MET by the new guidelines.
Here’s what the officer had to say:
"Children are happy and eager to participate in all the available activities. Children receive a warm welcome from staff, who accompany them to their designated room. Children engage in free play and planned activities throughout the day. For example, they complete all-about-me books on arrival and are keen to share their self-portraits with each other. Children build new relationships as they share resources. Staff encourage children to take turns and share.
Children are eager to share their understanding of the importance of adopting a healthy lifestyle. Staff are perceptive, following children's lead and including all children by inviting quieter members of the group to speak.
Parents report that their children are extremely happy. They welcome the daily feedback from the staff at the end of the day, which explains what their children have done."

We care about your experience and invite parents to leave us their independent reviews on Trustpilot. This February we were thrilled to get some amazing comments and ratings:
My son has had another wonderful experience at Barracudas this half term. He has enjoyed the swimming, arts and crafts, making new friends, the nature trail and dancing. The staff have been welcoming and everything has gone very well. Adrian
My 4 year old son attended the half-term camp at Barnet for the first time and was incredibly happy to go in every day of the week, which was unusual as he is usually really shy. The staff are so friendly and understanding. They are really good at keeping the little ones entertained. The website and booking process was straightforward and the whole experience was truly value for money.I would highly recommend the Barracudas Activity Day Camps. Monika
The Chislehurst Team have done it again! This is the second time my daughter (7) has attended Barracudas. This is the only holiday club she is happy to attend. Each day is different and she loves learning the new sports and skills. We will definitely be attending again. Thank you Team Chislehurst :) Nina
